Once you have enjoyed the benefits of meditation, you may wish to take the practice further. This is best done in a retreat environment where you can really go deeper and you could choose to take a longer Meditation Training at the Open Pathway Retreat Centre in Somerset or eslewhere if you prefer.

References to support scientific findings are taken from Wikipedia and The Science of Meditation by D Goleman and R Davidson. Scientifc research papers in this area are numerous - the challenge often being the lack of control groups and the measurability of benefits. Questions are often raised like, are meditators just naturally better at self care anyway or is it the meditation itself delivering the benefits? I’m not sure it matters so long as there is a benefit. Why not try it for yourself and see if you benefit.
